I received this Joy Gem from my sister on a trip to Los Angeles on July 18, 2011. I am not sure where it came from before, but I still have it as it is lucky. #81 is the same year that I was born, and that’s what made my sister think about giving it to me. It has brought me some luck and some joy, but I have not yet found someone to pass it on to! Hopefully the next person I pass it to will continue writing on this site so that I may track my Joy Gem!!!

My Joy Gem was given to a new acquaintance of my daughter and son in law. He couldn’t be more grateful or overjoyed that we welcomed him into our home to share family time,enjoy the view and quietness our our back yard and most of all to join our family for a great meal. He was very humbled.

In the Starbucks drive-thru, the computer systems suddenly went down so the drive-thru attendant couldn’t use her till. She seemed really flustered and upset when I got to the window. She gave me my coffee anyway, even though I couldn’t pay her. So, I gave her $5.00 (more than my coffee cost) and passed her my joy gem. I drove away and she was now smiling instead of frowning

Joy Gem 347 went to Jonathan, a little boy from Australia. I met Jonathan on the flight from London, UK, to Halifax. He and his family are moving to Newfoundland!
